Phoenix Civil & Earthmoving takes fatigue seriously in the workplace. Work hours will be monitored by management and adjusted according to company standards.
Work hours (including travel time) are not to exceed 16 hours in any given day, if this occurs the following day must not exceed 13 hours, with a minimum rest period between the days of 8 hours.
No more than 3 consecutive days of 14 hours per day can be worked in any given working week.
The company aims for approximately 10 hours site time plus travel. This will adjust according to the travel distances involved. Generally, a working day will equate to 12.5 hours.
Breaks must be taken at least every 5 hours for a minimum of 15 minutes.
Rest periods between working days should be at least 8 hours as a minimum
Sunday works will only be considered if employees are determined to have not exceeded fatigue guidelines for the week prior and are deemed fit for duty. This will be determined by the Supervisor.
It is the responsibility of the employee to ensure they are fit for duty. If at any stage you are feeling fatigued or tired, advise your site supervisor immediately. Do not drive any company vehicles if you are tired.
