It is our policy that workers act in a responsible manner to ensure a safe work environment and to promote a harmonious work environment.  The following behaviour is totally unacceptable and may result in immediate dismissal.

  • Breaches of safety rules and regulations or a single breach that was potentially serious.
  • Operating equipment where permission has not been granted by management or where the worker is not licensed or competent to do so.
  • Removing, modifying or failing to use guards or safety features provided.
  • Deliberate damage of equipment or significant damage caused by carelessness.
  • Willfully breaching laws affecting the running of the business.
  • Willfully disregarding a reasonable instruction.
  • Stealing or defrauding the company or fellow employees.
  • Lying or making false declarations.
  • Smoking in a prohibited area.
  • Bringing alcohol or drugs to the work place, consuming or having a positive reading for alcohol or drugs while at work. The legal limit for plant/vehicle operators is 0.00.
  • Fighting or violence.
  • Using abusive language or obscenities.
  • Harassing or bullying a fellow employee, whether it is in relation to race, religion, sex, etc.
  • Disregarding or deliberately breaking Statutory/Common Laws
